This past weekend was truly one of the best weekends we’ve had in a long time. We didn’t do anything crazy exciting, but we had a lot of really good family time and the weather was amazing.
// On Friday, I started out on a good note with my favorite girl, Natalie, and we had a yummy lunch at Butcher and Bee. Y’all know I love a good burger, and I have to say, the burger at Butcher and Bee is in my top five, as far as best burger I’ve ever eaten.
What I wore
Dress runs large, and for reference, I’m wearing the xs.
// On Friday evening, we took the the kids to grill out with our neighbors. We stayed way too late laughing, porch sitting, and listening to music. It was such a fun night, and luckily the kids slept in on Saturday. Before we headed over there on Friday, I dropped by Whole Foods to pick up some wine and flowers. If you’re local, you better stop by there…they have the most gorgeous peonies right now!
// Speaking of fresh flowers, Todd and I got all of our planters and the rest of our garden planted this weekend. It makes me so happy to go outside and look at all the pretty flowers, and I can’t wait until some of our vegetables start blooming!
I had a lot of questions about all of our planters and our garden boxes. All of ours are from Grandinroad, but I found some very similar options for both here. Also, for those of you asking about our gas lanterns, you can find them here.
// On Saturday, Todd and I took the kids strawberry picking and we all had the BEST time. Both kids loved it, and we found so many big, beautiful strawberries!
// We came home with more strawberries than we knew what to do with, so we decided to make a strawberry cobbler and a homemade strawberry cake.
The cobbler tasted so good, but my crust ended up gummy 🙁 That being said, I’m guessing that I mixed the milk, sugar, and flour together a little too much.
Surprisingly, my strawberry cake turned out amazing even though I had to substitute sour cream for a small amount of Greek yogurt and whipped cream cheese. I mean, I’m not sure how good it would have tasted with the sour cream, but it was delicious with the substitutions!
// One of my favorite tanks ever is on sale for 30% off! I actually wore it this weekend with these same jean shorts 🙂
Swing Tank (30% off) // Shorts // Earrings // Sandals
Tank runs tts, and for reference, I’m wearing the xs.
// Sunday was another beautiful day, so we decided to take the kids out to lunch and pick up a few more herbs for our garden. Playa Taco has quickly become my new favorite Mexican spot in Charleston.
// Loft still has their big sale going on, but today is the last day to save the 40% + an additional 10% off along with free shipping. They have SO many cute new spring arrivals, and if you missed it, you can see my favorites right here!
And this cover-up is on it’s way to me right now!!
// Last, but not least, here are three Amazon fashion finds that you guys do not want to pass up!
Stripe Swing Tee (comes in a 2 pack for $24) // Shorts // Earrings
For tee sizing reference, I’m wearing these in a small.
