When it comes to the gym, I feel like I’m either all or nothing. It’s one of the things about myself that drives me crazy, and I am trying really hard to change this area in my life. I’ve never completely stopped working out, there’s just been times when I’ve been slack about how many times a week I even make it to the gym, and how hard I train while I am there. And right now, I am in the ‘ALL’ mode…training really hard and eating healthy, and I must say, I am feeling really good!
And I’ll be the first to admit that nothing gets me more motivated and excited to hit the gym than a new workout outfit, especially when that outfit includes high waisted yoga pants, a cute new tank, and new white kicks!
I can’t say enough good things about this Zella wrap hoodie from Nordstrom, it is so soft and easy to toss on. I love it so much that I also ordered it in the teal color as well.
Along with training harder in the gym, I’ve also started to sprint again. I have tried several times to train myself to run long distance, but I just don’t enjoy it. I also notice a bigger difference in my weight when I sprint vs running. But with doing any kind of exercise (especially running sprints), I’ve learned that I MUST STRETCH! Back pain and shin splints are no joke, and the older I get, the more I feel it. Below, I’ve included five stretches I always do before and after sprints.
Pre workout stretches
*Star Stretch
* Hip Flexor Stretch
*Straight Leg March Stretch
Post workout/ sprint stretches
*Hamstring Stretch
*Quad Stretch

Those with a lot weight to lose might want to focus on cardio even if they plan on transitioning to strength training Jennifer .
