It’s been way too long since I’ve shared a good ol ‘what I wore / what we ate’ post.  And truth be told, it’s because Todd and I have not been doing our weekly date nights 🙁  We are not skipping them on purpose, but it just seems we always have something going on, especially now between the new house and baseball season starting for Carson.
With that being said, we were able to sneak off two Friday’s ago for an early happy hour at The Old Village Post House.  I am embarrassed to admit that this was our first time visiting, but it certainly will not be our last!  The atmosphere, the drinks, and oh my goodness…the food!!!
What we ate
We both started out with cocktails.  I had the Paloma and Todd had their Village Heat.  They were both great, but the Village Heat was our favorite.  And of course I had to try their Rose, and as expected, it was delicious.
Then, for starters we had the salt and pepper shrimp and the thai curry mussels.  The salt and pepper shrimp will melt in your mouth.  I have never tasted shrimp like this and I am still dreaming about them.  The mussels I left to Todd, I just can’t get past the texture.  And he must have loved them because there was not one mussel left…ha!
And I am pretty sure you’ve probably noticed if you’ve been reading here for long, I am a burger lover!!  I have tried at least 30 or more burgers here in Charleston, and this one was hands down THE BEST!  I am talking I ate every bite of this beast of a burger!!  Oh, and their truffles fries…yeah, they weren’t bad either 😉

So friends, if you are visiting Charleston anytime soon, put this place on your ‘must eat’ list for sure!
What I wore
Are you guys tired of seeing this dress yet?!  I sure hope not because the white one is on it’s way to me!  I shared it here late yesterday with more of my favorites from the sale!  This dress is so comfy and the embroidered details are just gorgeous!  And the best part….it’s part of the Shopbop friends and family sale so you can grab it now for $73!  And how cute is this embroidered romper by the same brand?!?  For sizing reference, it runs tts.  I am 5’2 on a good day, and I am wearing the xs.

PS – This dress I posted worn three ways here on Instagram is part of the Shopbop Friends and Family Sale too!  And my favorite bra is perfect to wear with it, plus, also on sale!  Also, don’t forget to enter the INTHEFAM at checkout to save your 25% off!

I've been eyeing those shoes. They don't look very sturdy, are they hard to walk in?

Hey Julie!! Surprisingly they are super sturdy and pretty comfortable…..you know as comfortable as a 4 inch heel can be 😉 And for reference I have really wide feet, is these still work ha! 😉
