We had a wonderful Easter filled with family time, a wonderful sermon, and lots of Easter egg hunts! My grandmother still comes every year to spoil the kids a bit and she fills all the plastic eggs with money for the kids. I am talking $5, $10, and even $20 bills inside the eggs!
We try to tell her every year that this is way too much money, but she insists. She LOVES watching them open the eggs and gets so excited watching their faces! We explained to Carson that this was not ‘the norm’, and that when mom and dad were little, all we got as kids were real eggs and maybe two prize eggs with quarters…ha!
After counting up their findings and eating Easter lunch, we headed out to the farm to see Todd’s parents and got in another Easter egg hunt just before the rain started.
Me and my three favorites just before we headed out to church with my brother and his family.

The sweet cousins after church (and Taylor with her biggest smile:).
On Sunday evening, after eating dinner with Todd’s parents we let Carson have his first sleepover with us down at the cabin. We let him stay up way past his bedtime, told him old stories about when dad lived at the cabin, and watched movies until we all feel asleep. I could tell he was excited to get some time just the three of us, and he was so happy waking up on “the farm”.
After the three of use ate breakfast at the cabin, we headed up to Todd’s parents to pick up Taylor so she and Carson could feed the animals! They love feeding and petting all the donkeys. And I must say, while are pretty cute, I still get freaked out every time I feed them! They are so sweet and use their lips to grab the food, but seeing their big teeth always makes me jump a little…haha!
We had the BEST time Friday night with one of my best friends, Mariah, and her family! My heart literally hurts every time I have to tell her goodbye. I still remember like it was yesterday, the day she moved, and the two of us hugging goodbye in a big puddle of tears. But no matter how long it’s been since we’ve last seen each other, the moment we are together again, it’s like never skipped a beat. There are not many people that come along as special as she is, and I know that we will be close friends forever, no matter how far the distance in miles are between us.
Carson is getting really into baseball and he wants to practice all the time. I know this makes Todd the happiest dad in the world! Not sure if I’ve ever told y’all before, but baseball was Todd’s life growing up and for pretty much the first 20+ years of his life. He started playing when he was four and played on up through college. So I know it makes him so happy and proud seeing Carson love it just as much as he did and still does.
Here’s a cute little video I took of them playing catching yesterday evening.
And last, a few of you asked about my tan in this picture! It’s all fake, as I try to make sure I apply plenty of sunscreen these days! It’s the same Clarins gel sunless tanner that I used last year and still love so much! You can also get it here!
What I am wearing…..and for reference, the Stacey blouse runs slightly smaller than the Elsa. Size up one from your normal size in the Elsa.

Spring is such a fun time of year! Love that y'all took Carson for some special time at the cabin!
Looks like y'all had some good outdoor family time. I love the donkeys! So cute! Do the kids have any plans for the golden egg monies?! 🙂
What a fun Easter! Love the Stacey top in that print. Gotta love a solid piece of Lilly. I'm going to have to try out that tanner, when my legs made a debut this Easter, it was a tad scary, ha.
