Especially when you have great friends and family to share it with!  Yesterday was one of those days that was just full of sunshine and smiles.  And have mercy, that just sounded like a really cheesy Hallmark card 🙂  But it’s true, it was just a really fun day! 

Anyway, my new lens came in the mail while our friends were over for a playdate so I whipped it out and started shooting.  I am in LOVE!!!!  These shots may just be some of my new favorites.  They are so candid, and everyone is so happy and relaxed. 

And for those of you who are curious, this is the camera body that I have, and this is my new lens. For a little bit less, this is another one that is also a good lens (this is what I shot with before).  I can’t give all the credit to the my new equipment though…I had some pretty amazing teachers, Matt and Jenna, who taught me a few of their tricks. 

 My friend Ashley was also sweet enough to let us borrow her precious Wheeler for the night.  These two were just smitten together.  Todd and I took them for a little evening fishing and some turtle feeding and they were so dang cute!
