// This past Friday morning, Todd headed out on his annual fishing trip with the guys. They went camping and spent the weekend trout fishing. Here are a few pictures he snapped from the trip. He says they had a great time. I know he enjoys his quiet time with good ol’ mother nature, plus, some time with his good buddies.
// My mom came to town and spent the weekend with me and the kids and we had ourselves a great time as well. On Friday, Carson went to a sleepover with one of his best buddies from school, so we decided to have a girls night. Taylor loves Italian so the three of us headed to Al Di La for dinner. If you visit Charleston, and want some fresh Italian, you must visit this place…it’s SO good! We all shared the meatballs for an appetizer, and for dinner, Taylor and I had the chicken parmesan. They were both delicious.
// On Saturday morning, we took Carson to play in his baseball game. I love that my mom finally got to watch him play. Even though his team lost they played a great game and made some really good plays. I know Todd hated missing his game, so I made sure to take lots of pictures.
I even took a video of him batting in the last inning.
(Please excuse my obnoxious voice, I just get so excited)
// After Carson’s game, we headed out to do some strawberry picking. We were planning on going to Ambrose Farm, but on the way there we passed this small, private U-pick strawberry farm. We decided to pull in and check it out! I am so glad we did. We pretty much had the place to ourselves and the strawberries were beautiful! The owner was so kind and told us how they don’t use any chemicals and to please eat as many as we wanted while picking them. You better believe the kids were in heaven. They both LOVE strawberries, and these were so sweet and juicy!
Taylor’s crazy hair is always falling in her face, but I still love this picture of the three of them!
// Then on Sunday, the kids and I headed to a baby shower to celebrate our sweet friend Erin and their soon to be second baby boy!! Because most of the guys were on the camping trip, they decided to make the shower kid friendly. My girlfriend that hosted the shower has the biggest backyard, full of fun toys for the kids, so they played outside while we mingled and opened presents.

// On Sunday afternoon, Todd arrived home, and of course, we were all really excited to see him! I sometimes forgot how much time we actually spend together and how much I really enjoy his company, so I always miss him like crazy when he is gone 🙂 We ended the evening grilling hot dogs, watching the kids play, and listening to music on deck. It was the perfect ending to a fun, but very busy weekend!

Looks like a great weekend full of fun! I went to Nashville to visit my sister and nephew. We did so much stuff too and had a great time. The time goes by so fast before you get to do everything you want. I love your photos of things to do around South Carolina, since my husband and I are scoping out cities like Nashville, etc. to retire in not too long… He wants to be able to fish and have a few chickens for eggs and a few goats! hehe Have a great day!!!
