I would like to start this off by saying all six of us wish were back at The Alida hotel right now! We had the best time ever in Savannah, and this was hands down our best hotel stay yet as a family of six!
Our room was so spacious and the window seat was a huge hit with all three kids and Bandit 🙂 Taylor actually loved it so much that she actually chose to sleep there both nights, instead of the insanely comfortable king beds!
Below are the cute snack plates that The Alida had waiting on us when we arrived to our room!
As you can see from the pictures, the hotel itself is so stunning! And upon our arrival, we were greeted with signature pineapple cocktails and a specially baked dog treat for Bandit. It was raining like crazy when we arrived, so sadly, I didn’t get a picture of these.
We were all pretty tired on Thursday afternoon when we arrived, but we were all dying to see the Plant Riverside District, which is literally right behind The Alida Hotel!!
The Plant Riverside district did not disappoint! It was packed with delicious restaurants, art galleries, live music, the best cookie shop, and it was all located on the river.
Thursday night we ended up getting District Smokehouse and taking it back to our room. The kids wanted fries and wings and Todd and I split the big tex which was a huge baked potato stuffed with brisket, smoked queso, salsa and picked jalapeños.
After dinner, we ended Thursday night with a swim and we had the pool all to ourselves!!
On Friday morning, Todd and I were up early and ready to eat…haha! The kids wanted Starbucks so we took Bandit on a walk and grabbed Starbucks, which was also directly behind the hotel. Carson and Tay babysat while Todd and I went downstairs to Rhett to have brunch. This was truly the best brunch ever, I mean, I am still dreaming about it right now!
I got the Rhett burger with breakfast potatoes and Todd had the croque scarlet. They were amazing and I would highly recommend them both!
We all got dressed and headed to go visit the Savanah children’s museum after brunch. All three kids had the best time, which actually surprised me because I thought Carson and Taylor may be a bit too old to really enjoy it. Luckily, I was wrong because they both said they loved it when we left.
After the children’s museum we headed to The Pirate’s House to eat lunch. The kids absolutely loved it, and we had the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten!
After lunch, we headed back to the hotel and enjoyed some down time in our room and then we walked over to Byrd’s famous cookies. You really have to go there and fill up your own cookie jar with their amazing little bite sized cookies!
After getting cookies we decided to hit up the kids favorite spot…the pool!
We went to Graffito for dinner and it was truly the best pizza place I’ve ever been to in my life! We seriously LOVED it so much that we got it the next day for lunch before we left, and I kid you not, Carson ate an entire pizza by himself!
Savannah and The Alida Hotel, you were both so good to us and we can’t wait to plan our next trip to come back!!
