Happy Monday guys! Getting a late start around here, but I am finding out quickly that during the summer it’s a lot harder for me to wake up super early and write. Either way, I did want to share some snippets from our weekend with you guys.
On Saturday, Todd left super early and headed to Charlotte to meet my dad so they could finally use their tickets to
drive a real race car. Todd said it was an awesome experience and gave him a major adrenaline rush!
Back home, after the kids and I had breakfast, we headed out to pick up a Southern Tide shirt for Todd. Long story short, I ordered
this one from Nordstrom, but realized when I opened it that it wasn’t the ‘fishing shirt’ shirt he had actually requested. I really loved the color and the pattern though so I decided I would just give him both shirts. So, when we got downtown we picked up
this one, along with this
t-shirt.
After we finished shopping we made a little pit stop by our favorite candy store,
River Street Treats!
After that, we stopped by Krispy Kreme to pick up doughnuts for a yummy Father’s Day breakfast!
Later that evening after Todd got home, we went over to see our good friends and their new puppy!!
Is he not the cutest thing you have ever seen!?!? I seriously wanted to take him home!
On Sunday morning, we showered Todd with lots of hugs and kisses, funny cards, and his gifts!
Then we packed up and headed out to Folly for a family day on the beach! The weather felt amazing and there was a cool breeze so we never felt too hot.
The kids had a blast jumping over a hole that Todd dug and racing through the little tidal pools.
It was an awesome family beach day!
