It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed, and hands down, some of the nicest people I have ever met. The service really did blow me away.
When we arrived on Friday morning we were greeted and told Happy Anniversary by everyone. We had a delicious bottle of champagne with a sweet note waiting for us in our room. Our room was gorgeous and honestly I could have spent a lot more time in that bed.
This was the view off of our balcony. It was so pretty.
We spent pretty much all of Friday at the pool, with the exception of taking an hour to go eat lunch at Jasmine Porch.
Yep, that pool is a dream.
Y’all, this salad was insane!! I actually had it for lunch on Friday and Saturday!
It was so fun being able to just sit, clear our heads, and talk about life. We made lot’s of new goals, fun future plans, and even discussed a few life changes we wanted to make. On Friday night after dinner at The Ocean Room we walked on the beach and watched the sunset. Wow is all I can say, it was breathtaking. I will admit that I was slightly disappointed with my meal at the Ocean Room. I got the gnocci and it was dry and really bland. Other than that the rest of the food was great.
Todd surprised me with a beautiful onyx necklace. I though it was so sweet that he actually did a little research and found out that the seventh anniversary stone is onyx. Such a special gift that I can’t wait to hand down to Taylor one day.
On Saturday morning we got up around 8 am and headed to the spa for our couples massage. Oh have mercy, it was awesome. I love, love, love a massage. Todd even said he felt amazing afterwards and really thought we should start getting one once a month or so. Sign me up! 😉 This was by far my favorite part of the trip!
After we were done with our massage we went to what is called the Garden Room and enjoyed hot tea and fresh granola bars. It was so peaceful in there that we actually sat with our tea and magazines for almost an hour.
After that we headed to the pool where we enjoyed early morning cocktails and loaded nachos!!
We spent the rest of the day by the pool and on the beach. It was such a beautiful, sunny day. I worked on my tan just like I had planned. Ha!
Late that evening we headed home. We weren’t quite sure if we were going to stay Saturday night or not. There was room available, but we knew we had access to the place all evening and in the end we couldn’t see paying that money just to sleep in the room. With us only living 25 minutes away it just seemed like the practical thing to do. Plus, if I am being honest, a quiet night in our own bed and early morning coffee on our deck was pretty nice. Quiet and morning never happen at our house when our little ones are home 😉
This weekend was just what we needed. I feel really refreshed with a clear head and a happy heart.
I hope you all have a great Tuesday!
