Hope all you guys had a great weekend! The weather here was so amazing, and it looks as though it plans to stay that way! Can I get a ‘hallelujah’ for spring weather!!
Carson had his first t-ball practice of the season Saturday morning. He was so excited and did great. Todd and I were both a little nervous on how he would do because last year he had so much anxiety about it that we decided to wait another year to have him play. I am so proud of my little guy, and so happy he was able to have fun!
Saturday night we went out for a birthday celebration for my great friend, Ann! It was such a fun night. I forgot how much I love hibachi. Our cook was hilarious and had us all cracking up. Afterwards, we went out to Voo Doo and made our night complete with a dance off while singing at the top of our lungs. Now I can’t get the song ‘To be with you’ out of my head;)
On Sunday we went over to Daniel Island for the Walk to Cure Diabetes. We walked in support of our great friends and their son, Noah. He was diagnosed last year with type 1 diabetes. Watching them over the last year has shown me what a strong and loving family they truly are. I feel honored and blessed to call them some of our best friends.
It was such a gorgeous Sunday and the kids had an absolute blast at the walk.
We ended Sunday with dinner outside on the deck. Todd grilled our favorite burgers (stuffed with bacon and cheese) and hot dogs for the kids! A perfect ending to a perfect weekend!
Last, I have the whole family an outfit for Easter (everyone but myself, that is). Here are my front runners…do you guys have a favorite?

Caycee!
Your post contained so many cute pics, and I loved reading about your weekend. I have one small suggestion that I hope you take into consideration. I could have done without the affiliate links for shopping at the very end. That just disappointed me…not every blog post needs to make a commission. If you leave some of these off, I believe your authenticity will shine through a bit more. Now it just looks you worked hard to post about your weekend, but you just had share some links. Remember, you posted quite a bit of shopping last week and over the weekend. Just try to be you!

Hey Haley! Thanks for your comment! So glad you enjoyed the pictures!! If I have learned one thing over this past year about this blog, it is that I can't please everyone. So while some people read this blog only for pictures of my family and life others enjoy the shopping. I actually enjoy writing about both! So this is me 😉 Hope you will continue reading the things you do enjoy! Xoxo Caycee
Thanks for replying, Caycee!
Honestly, it is just a suggestion. You know, a lot of people out there reading just cannot relate to the incessant shopping and spending. Personally, I prefer to buy quality, not quantity. Yes, some of things you highlight are expensive and have the right label, but, for me, I invest in timeless pieces, and do not change my closet weekly. The "right" label is not a priority for me.
So, we are different in that way, and that is OK! I will continue reading to see cute pics of you and your family. I just turned 40 and have 5 kiddos myself…4 boys and 1 girl…they are 16 year old twins, 15 (10.5 months younger than the twins…I know!!!) , 13 and baby girl is 5 (we thought we would try one more time!) We have our hands full but love it!
Oh wow Haley you do have your hands full, but it sounds so fun!! I bet the older boys love on that baby girl so much!! Please tell me teenage years are easier 😉 I appreciate your response too! I just love to shop!! So for me, I try to keep it in the mid-range and more affordable options. I do splurge every know and then if it's something I really love 🙂
Oops every now and then 🙂

I'm having typing errors this morning..damn time change. And I was also thrown off by the above comments. So Anywho, on my my thoughts. Love the pic of You and Natalie and You and Todd. So sweet, you two!
I think I love the middle dress the best, but you honestly can't wrong with any of them! 🙂
Love these pink and yellow cups! I believe you have said where they are from, but I can't find the post. Would love to know. Thanks!
i typically don't comment but was really thrown off by the first comment above … that was nice of you to respond but you obviously can't please everyone. women are so funny! (and some have way too much time on their hands:))
post what you want and don't overthink it! you do a fabulous job!
have a great week!
Loved your post! This IS you and YOUR blog I don't have to buy everything you share…but I do love be seeing what you find because I don't have the time to check in online to all the stores to find all the great finds you do…so thank you for that, I know it is very time consuming! This is your place for creativity and to share what you like. I wish people would just keep some comments to yourself, if this wasn't for you go read something else or go on about your day. Oy vey, have a wonderful weekend Caycee! Xoxo
Looks like you had a "fab" weekend. I see both sides. It's nice to read blogs where people are not always pushing for you to click a link and buy something(or not realize you will get a commission on something they purchase at a later time because they forgot to clear their cookies) However, I see this as another sources of income for your and at the end of the day it's your blog. I do have a question though…have you ever considered shopping your own closet? It seems as though you have so many beautiful things, so perhaps you have a dress you could coordinate with your family. (Just a suggestion…..) I commend you on writing this blog and putting yourself out there. I wish I had the guts to do so!
Caycee, you are wonderful wife and mom. You have darling figure and really work on yourself, and that is very admirable. I appreciate the support some of your commenters have given you, but I think Haley also made some very strong, true points. I thought you could also see what I miss about bloggers from my perspective. When I first started reading blogs, I loved all the fashion blogs because the outfits were all so original and inspiring. I loved reading about real, unique finds other girls had made when they went shopping, not $500 Rag and Bone boots, swoon worthy $190 Joie blouse, and $220 ripped jeans. I read blogs for perspective on every day life…raising kids, working out, a traveling husband, etc. What is being presented is almost unreachable and unbelievable, and the excessiveness of it all is just too much. From one point I read about gratitude, and the next days there are two posts in one day…one sponsored, and one highlighting a sale that is "too good to pass up!" Now, myfeed is littered with one hundred different posts featuring the exact same camel Tory Burch bag or crazy outfits marked on sale. Honestly, it is crazy as my life does not fit that mold, and I am not sure if fits many peoples'. I feel like blogging has turned in to such a business. I hardly ever see anyone posting about some amazing and unique bag or pair of shoes they found and I'm pretty sure half of the outfits I see are only making my newsfeed because the blogger is being paid to endorse them and then are seldomly or never worn again.
It is good that as mature woman we can disagree. No, I was not thrown off by Haley's comment. In fact I applaud her and you. I applaud her for having the guts to speak up and you for keeping the comment there. It is not easy to read criticism, but I think since blogging has become such a business, the consumer is very much entitled to their opinion. No need to be caught of guard, just be respectful of someone's else's opinion.
Thank you Lori!! They are from World Market 🙂
Hey Lindsay!! Thank you girl 🙂 Yep, I agree can't please them all!
xoxo
Caycee
Oh Keely your comments always make me smile!! That makes me happy to hear that you enjoy these kinds of post, because fashion is so fun to talk about! Plus it's an outlet from all the mom stuff all the time 😉
Hey Ms. S! Thank you so much for commenting! It really is nice to hear someone speak that sees it from both sides. I try and do a mix, because I truly love talking about my life and fashion 🙂 xoxo
Caycee
Hey Andrea! Thank you so much for your kind words and your perspective! While I do get what you are saying, I disagree a little. Only because the things I blog about are not only the high prices and designer names you mentioned above. I do splurge every now and then, but for the most part I prefer (and link) to the more affordable fashion. Pretty much if I love it, I talk about it. While I do still love and often talk about real life, sometimes I like a break from that. Fashion is a fun outlet for me, and I have to take in account all of my readers. Some are not mothers or wives, and could care less about reading that stuff. Just as some could care less about reading the shopping and the fashion. Hey, to each his own 🙂 But at the end of the day my goal is to keep a balance and make this a place most people (myself included) still enjoy! Thank you agagin for your comment. And I couldn't agree with you more that as mature women we can disagree while still respecting each others opinion.

Hi Caycee! I am a fellow petite girl and love many of your outfit suggestions. It is especially helpful when you show pictures of yourself in the clothes you recommend. I am having a tough time finding denim shorts that look cute on us shorter girls. Would love a "shorts" post if you can! Keep up the great blogging!
Hey my petite friend 🙂 This makes me so happy to hear!! I would love to do a post on shorts, as I love to throe on a good pair in the summer! And thank you girl, I am going to try 😉
xoxo

Hey Caycee,
I don't comment often, but felt lead to today! I just love your blog! I am a little older than you (ha), but love seeing your family & the current trends (even if I may be a little old for some ..I still get ideas).
I also use you as motivation to stay fit. You look so adorable in all your outfits (while still being real about cheat meals). I would love to read more on how you put yourself back on track! Being in my 40's the weight can sneak up after just a few cheat meals..so sad but so true.
If there is one thing I have learned being a little older is "Do life your way" (as long as you are not hurting anyone in the process). I am assuming grown women read your blog & should be responsible enough to know if they can afford some of the fashion you post. If you cannot, then window shop or perhaps continue on. Please, please, please do not let anyone make you feel bad about posting about something you enjoy!
Enjoy your day,
Florence
P.S. More fitness posts
Aww thank you so much Florence! Makes me so happy to hear 🙂
And girl you must have been reading my mind………I just finished a post for tomorrow on fineness and my exact routine. Next week I plan to talk about my diet! Haha I literally clicked over to read this comment just as I finished the last sentence 😉
And thank you again!! I really agree with your last paragraph, and it makes me feel better I am not the only one who thinks this!
xoxo
Caycee
It's a little sickening to me to see full grown women bash on other women like they do! As a college student I find you and your precious family inspiring, you balance it all and look gorgeous while doing it! I find that you keep it real on here and that is all anyone can ask, if they don't like it well find some new reads! Xo
I have come to really enjoy your blog and look forward to reading it, daily. Thank you for sharing your life with us "strangers"! I love all 3 dresses you posted and might purchase the Floral Lace Bell Sleeve Shift Dress for my Easter dress. Thank you for making it so easy for me to find the link to purchase. Keep on shining and being you!

This is why I cannot blog anymore. I would not be nice. Enough said!
I love the DI pictures! We were supposed to go yesterday but I am sick now. Nasty strep throat. "Team William" is my friend.
I honestly love posts exactly like this one. Your life and shopping picks at the end. You have great taste and I like to see what you pick out. I don't always have time to search for cute clothes. Your picks help me, so keep-on! Xoxo
I love your blog. It's the best! I like the maxi dress for Easter!
