Carson will be NINE in exactly one week! Saying that out loud sounds crazy to me!! Why do they have to grow up so fast!?! For his birthday party he decided that he wanted to invite a few friends over for a ‘campout’ sleepover.
We are planning to set up a big tent in the backyard, roast S’mores by the fire, and play glow in the dark Capture the Flag! We’ve all been dying to play this game since Carson got it for Christmas! And y’all know how much I love to party plan, so I had to add in a few fun things even if it was just some party favors and a cool camping cake.
// TWO
TGIF, friends!! Todd and I are in a total TV rut. These days, the only show we really watch is This Is Us, which in my opinion, is pretty much the BEST show ever…don’t y’all agree? But we would love to find one or two more that we both love, so please send any recommendations our way!!!
I feel line this on the weekends after the kids go to bed…ha!
THREE //
Lately, I feel like I’m either in gym clothes or just something super casual and warm. I am so ready for the warmer weather! I know a lot of you guys said you like the more casual looks, so here are the details on what I’ve been wearing recently.

Cardigan // Tunic Tee // Jeans (45%) // Sneakers // Cap

Runs tts and I’m wearing it in the small.
FOUR //
Speaking of warmer weather, you guys blew me away with all the tropical vacation places for families you recommended. And with all the recommendations, I also received a crazy amount of dm messages with you guys wanting to know what people suggested! So, there were three places that were recommended the most and they all look amazing! Here are the top three (in order).
I know I previously mentioned I was going to share which place that we were leaning towards the most, but right now we are stuck trying to decide between Atlantis and Turks and Caicos. We are planning to make our final decision this weekend so I will let you guys know what we decide.
FIVE //
Since I’m already dreaming about warm weather and vacations, I thought I would share a few super adorable (and affordable) new arrivals that I would love to pack in my suitcase!

Say what!?!?! They just came out with this gorgeous print in my (and everyone else’s) favorite one-piece!!!

Only $25!!

That sounds like such a fun party for Carson. I agree, I have been in the same clothes towards the end of my pregnancy and even now after. This NC weather has been crazy cold. So excited to see that Beaches in Turks is one of your top choices. We stayed in the Key West village for our honeymoon. They upgraded us for no charge to a nice suite. The food at every place was amazing. The staff was the nicest! So much was included, you could even pay a little extra to go further out and do snorkeling which my husband did. I saw so much for kids to do there and they even had adults only pools. I would go back in a heartbeat.

So, I have been to both places within the last 5 years and NOTHING compares to Turks. As far as the resort, it's perfect for you guys, but you can also rent a car and go snorkel at other beaches and cays all over the island of Providenciales. It is super easy to drive there and they have nice grocery stores where you can grab snacks for your day out of the resort. Also, the WATER and beach itself…..again, there's no comparison. If you can go to Turks, go there. It really is special. Feel free to email me if you have any specific questions.

Atlantis is amazing for a weekend trip, but to be honest, other than the pools, a majority of their water slides are way too large for kids. I'm an adult and still terrified of them. They do have a small aquarium and the ambiance of the entire resort is magnificent, but the location in Nassau is one where you definitely want to just stay at the resort the entire time. I cannot comment on Beaches as I've never been to T&C, but I've been to Atlantis twice, and honestly, that was enough for me. Just my two cents…

I've been the the Beaches resort and it is amazing. I don't have kids, so I can't comment on how it is for a family.

We’ve been to Beaches T&C the past two summers with our 7 and 10 year old boys and we all loved it! It is so family friendly with so much to do for all ages! Definitely the most gorgeous water we’ve seen in the Caribbean! I know all four of you will love it if you end up there! Feel free to email me with any questions you might have!

You really plan fabulous parties for your kiddos! I'd love to see a post that links back to each birthday party you've done every year since they were born!

  9. I always love your parties! I’ve been to Turks and Caicos as well as Atlantis, both before kids (although i have two now!). Gotta say Turks and Caicos takes the cake. Atlantis was fun, but it got repetitious after a while and the food was expensive and not great, or even good. When we went a lot of the animal exhibits (other than the aqaurium in the main hotel) looked abandoned or not taken care of. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Maybe it’s changed in recent years… ❤️

I agree, This is Us is the BEST! My husband and I (and my twin sister and her husband) LOVED the show Flashpoint… if you haven't seen it, watch it! It's great!

  11. Erin says:

I have never been to Turks but hear awesome things out it. I would not recommend Atlantis. We did not have a good experience there and I've heard so many similar stories from others.

We went to T&C last year and it was beautiful, my favorite island ever! However, you may want to reconsider because
    1. I heard it was suffered a lot of damage from the hurricanes this past fall
    2. The US Government just issued a level 2 alert for American's traveling there b/c of crimes against visitors

  13. We loved Beaches in T&C. Our kids are 5 & 7 and they had a blast. So much do to for the whole family. I have also been to Atlantis (although sans kids) and it was also amazing…really expensive though. With Beaches, everything is included so you don’t have to worry about keep track of what you spend. Can’t wait to hear what you decide!! 🙂

  14. Unknown says:

Definitely consider Turks! I've been to both, and we are actually headed back to Turks this summer. Atlantis was SUPER crowded, and just wasn't as relaxing IMO. It is incredibly overpriced for what you get also!

  15. You should read Brittany's review from https://addisonswonderland.com on Atlantis. We went as a family and didn't like it.

  16. I agree on Atlantis. We have gone for the past 5 years with my husband's work (sans kids) and we were so over it (happy we are finally going somewhere else this year!). Our kids really wanted to go, but we didn't want to have to make a whole trip out of it, so we stopped there on the Disney Cruise. My oldest is 10 and he could go on less than half the slides. My 5 & 7 year old could basically go on the little slides in the kiddie area. They were over it after half a day there and wanted to go back to the ship. The food is insanely expensive and not even good. Read Addisons World's post about it just like a couple others recommended, as someone who has gone plenty of times, her review is spot on.
