I hope you all had a lovely weekend!!

We packed ours jam full. It was full with lots of family and friend time, and to be honest, those are the best!!!

On Friday night we went to our favorite place in all the world Freshfields Village. I am being serious when I say that, this really is our favorite place. Carson and Taylor absolutely love it. They have the best time singing, dancing, and running free on the pretty green grass. It always makes me smile when I think of their sweet faces out there. I hope when they are older they will always remember these Friday nights.

I of course  had to drop in the Lilly store Pink Boulevard while we were there. It was, after all, National Wear Your Lilly Day on Saturday. I pretty much fell in love with this dress. Normally the length is really long on Lilly maxis but surprisingly this one wasn’t. 

On Saturday we got up early, packed the car, and headed back home to see both our families. Saturday evening Todd’s family had their family reunion. We had some of the best food, and we got to catch up and see lots of faces we haven’t seen in a long time. It was on another beautiful farm with the prettiest horses. I am so sad I didn’t take any pictures 🙁 

My in-laws also live on a beautiful farm complete with donkeys and goats. We all love going out there so much. There is something so peaceful about a farm with a bunch of open land. 

Todd and I dropped the kids off at my parents for the night and we headed out to meet some old friends for some drinks. I miss this girl so much, and feel so lucky when I get to catch up with her.

 Todd and I stayed at his parents cabin on the farm that night. This was the view we woke up to at 9 am!!!! Again, something so peaceful about a cabin in the woods on a farm.

On Sunday we headed to my parents to grill out with them and swim in their new pool. My mama has wanted a pool since I can remember, and last summer she finally got one! If you haven’t noticed here on the blog, my daddy is pretty handy, and he built and put in most of the pool himself. He always impresses me with the way he can build things. I kept joking with my mama that we always swam in the lake in the backyard, so they should just toss the grandkids out there to swim 🙂  Oh how times have changed, you couldn’t pay me money to get in that lake now ha! All I think of is snakes and the fact that I can’t see what’s on the bottom of that water. So let’s be real, I am loving the fact they now have a pool too 🙂
