A few of you have asked so I thought I would answer what a day of “clean eating” looks like for me.
I usually eat clean on the days I train hard with my trainer, or days I do a lot of cardio. In my mind, if I’ve spent all that time working out, I want it to count so I feel like I’m on top of my game when it comes to what I eat.
Breakfast- 1 slice of sourdough bread with all natural PB or two eggs.
Snack- String cheese or a few pieces of beef jerky.
Lunch- Thin sliced deli meat from the deli (I love the blazing buffalo chicken), or a salad with light Italian dressing. If I do eat just the deli meat I will throw in an apple or orange with it.
Late snack-  a few pieces of dark chocolate or a small handful of nuts
Dinner- Lean meat like shrimp or chicken with something green. My favorites are roasted brussel sprouts and roasted asparagus.
We eat dinner pretty early around our house usually between 5 and 6. On my clean eating days I try really hard to let dinner be the last thing I eat, but if I stay up late and start feeling really hungry I will go grab another string cheese, or a small piece of fruit.
I know this probably sounds crazy to eat so little in a day, but  I only do this two or three days out of the week. It allows me to cheat and pretty much eat what I want the other days, and for me, that’s worth it!
This is one of my favorite ways to roast brussel sprouts!! Super quick and super delicious!!

I think that's a great way to be because unfortunately, it's just not realistic that I will eat well and not drink for 6 or 7 days a week. I like how you tie your clean eating days to your workout days too!! I love that balsamic roasted brussels sprout recipe too!

This is essentially how I eat as well…I'm a big advocate of everything in moderation! Now I'm going to need you to bring me some of those french fries with duck fat you keep posting on Insta! haha

You look fantastic! My "ideal" for sure..if I ever obtain it..ha. Do you mind sharing how tall you are & if you have reached your goal weight (I am sure you have).

Funny, the days I hit the gym, are the days I tend to eat badly, I'm literally starving those days. What can I say, I have zero self control. I've never had brussel sprouts, but I might need to give them a try after this.

I love the way you do this- I like the idea of clean eating a few days a week and then indulging on my days "off" If I try to deprive myself too much I end up binge eating junk so I try to keep a balance.

String cheese and Jerky are processed foods. How is that clean?

    Hey Ms.S

I posted what I ate on a day I considered clean eating, by the "book" it may not be, and yes you are right they are processed. Maybe I should change the title 😉 But these are the things I actually eat, and these are the things that help me maintain my weight. xoxo Caycee
