I was in shock when I passed a sign yesterday that said 59 days until Christmas!?!?!  I am trying to be on top of it this year, and get started with shopping and planning early because I know the further along I get in this pregnancy, the less energy I’ll have.  This year the holidays things are going to be a little different since I won’t be able to travel so my parents are planning on coming here to celebrate Christmas with us for a few days.  And now that our guest room has been taken, we decided that we would give them our bedroom to stay in and we would bunk up with Carson and Taylor.
That being said, when Serena and Lily reached out to see if I would like to participate in a little bedroom/guest room spruce up, I knew our master would be the perfect room to choose.
Their bedding is so amazing and I am now a huge fan of linen sheets.  And this time, instead of doing completely all white bedding, I decided to throw a little gray and plaid in the mix, and I really love the way it turned out!
Also, the sleep well event is going on right now at Serena and Lily where you can save up to 30% on all bedding and beds.  So if you’ve been thinking about updating your bedding or splurging on a new set of sheets, now is the perfect time!
Below are a few pictures of the bedding I chose along with three things I always like to do to make our guests feel more at home and welcome when they come and stay.

1 – When having guests come I always like to have fresh flowers by the bed.  It gives it that special touch, and I always think it makes guests feel a little pampered.

2 – I always like to have a fresh candle by the bed along with some sort of reading material.  And I like to change the candle out depending on the season.  The mulled cider candle I currently have in our bedroom has the perfect holiday scent.
3 – When the weather is cooler I like to have a quilt at the end of the bed just in case our guests get cold, plus, it just makes the bed look and feel more cozy and put together.  And oh my, the Sutter Linen Quilt is the stuff dreams are made of.

3 – Oh yeah, and if possible, I think it’s nice to have a new set of fresh towels in the bathroom for your guests.  If you’re currently looking for new towels, I must say, this Napa bath collection is by far the most plush and softest set I have ever felt.
