// I still have not cleaned out my car since our Christmas trip home! When I tell you there could be someone living in the back without me knowing it, I really mean it. And with all the crumbs and half empty bags of chips, they probably wouldn’t go hungry! I know that’s gross, and I have all intentions on cleaning it out today, but we all know how intentions work out at times 😉
// Keeping our house clean 24-7 with two kids and one dog in the house is a complete joke! I get anxious and excited all at the same time every time we get a call to show the house. I start yelling and running around like a mad woman trying to get everyone to pick up their toys and make their beds. And truth, neither one of my kids can even make their beds, or at least, not very well.
// I can’t stand the cold weather. The only time I like the cold is when it snows and I like that for about a day or two. Todd, on the other hand, loves the cold and tells me he feels so much more energized!! I couldn’t disagree more, the only energy it gives me is the ability to move faster walking to my car to get to the heat!
// Todd and I are slightly obsessed with the Netflix series Making a Murderer. Do you guys watch it?? If so, what’s your thoughts? Do you think he’s guilty or that he is being framed for the murder of the photographer? We are on the third episode, and at this point, my opinion is that he’s guilty!
// Every morning when my alarm goes off I have a legitimate five minute conversation with myself on whether or not I should get up or sleep another thirty minutes. Nine times out of ten I convince myself to sleep the extra thirty minutes, but unfortunately I never fall back asleep.
// At night I have the hardest time falling asleep, so I do the big no no and pick up my phone. I get sucked into random stories on Facebook and most of them leave me in tears. Sometimes good tears and other times sad tears. I read this story last night and cried both….for a very long time.
// Almost every evening I struggle with what to cook for dinner. I always have ideas of things to make that Todd and I would love, but finding new meals each night that the entire family will eat is exhausting. This year I really want to get more organized with my meal planning.
// This past Saturday in barre class we did about ten minutes of standing calf raises, and all day yesterday, I had to walk around taking the lightest steps possible because my calves were so sore! One would think that as much as I walk around in heels my calves would not have much of a problem with calf raises, but clearly they do!
// I am having the hardest time setting new goals and getting organized knowing that we could be moving at any time. Being that I am extremely type A, this is driving me nuts. To keep myself from going cray cray, I’m trying to keep in mind how organized we will be in our new home 🙂
I wish you lived closer, we could have meal planning sessions, I usually plan mine out on Thursday, go to the store on Friday and we eat at home every night. Now I'm adding lunches at home (to keep from eating out too much) and some easy breakfast ideas in since I'm trying to make some better choices in 2016.
We are on episode 6-7 of Making a Murder and I still can't make up my mind, you might change your mind too…just wait!
Meal planning saves me. It's the only way I can keep that aspect of our lives organized. On weeks that I happen not go do it we order out so much more and end up eating so much unhealthier.I use the Skinnytaste meal planner and I love it. Check out my new blog I did a whole post on meal planning. Also, do you have peapod in SC. Another legit obsession. Keep us posted how the meal planning goes.

We plan our meals for the week and do our grocery shopping on Sunday afternoons! This saves a ton of time for us!
Also, we are about 3/4 of the way through Making a Murderer and I'm definitely questioning his guilt. I'm leaning toward the side of innocent?! I don't want to give anything away, but definitely interested in your thoughts once you finish! 🙂
Great food blog with meals for the entire fam – The Girl who ate Everything
Advice a friend gave me several years ago – plan your meals for the entire week – fewer visits to the grocery store and you tend to buy what you need.

Lol! I'm still smiling and giggling at the first one! I know the struggle is real, but sometimes kinda funny. You are doing the best you can. And I still love your pajama days girl! I can't believe i'm going to be 52 yrs old this Sat. eeek. I'm still trying to look good for the beach by going to the gym and eating right. When all I want to crave is porkskins! And my husbands car is in the shop and he is using my car so I can't get to the gym! Anyway, life seems to go by faster, so enjoy all the moments! xoxo
I am with you on the cold weather!! The only thing I like about it is wearing boots and scarfs!!
I am SO over the cold weather! Give me Summer all year please and children makes cars and houses beyond impossible to keep clean. If you ever figure out the secret how to, please share!
I just cried right along with you, that story was very sad. 🙁 Yes, just try and focus on how organized your new home will be! 🙂
When meal planning I try and do 2 things each week that I know the kids will love and only try a few new recipes each week. I find my kids do batter if they know a meal they love is coming the next day if I am trying to get them to try something new. We do breakfast, tacos, spaghetti, grilled chicken pretty much every other week because I know everyone will be happy with those!
Girl I feel you on the winter weather. I love it for a day or two (boots and chunky scarves) and then I'm over here hollering, "Summer you can come back anytime now!" As far as Making a Murderer…I won't spoil anything for you seeing as how you are on episode 3, but I'm on episode 7 and I feel for you…I was saying he was guilty hands down, but the more it plays out, the more you think the opposite. In the end, only the Good Lord knows and I'm sure he'll be judged accordingly. Happy Wednesday!

I think the prosecutors in that case have said that the creators of Making of a Murderer have cherry-picked the evidence they're presenting, leaving out some pretty damming evidence.
continued from last post; below is some of the evidence the prosecutor says the show's producers did not include:
That evidence included DNA from Mr. Avery’s sweat found on a latch under the hood of Ms. Halbach’s Toyota RAV4, a discovery made by investigators after they were led there by Mr. Dassey, Mr. Kratz said.
Mr. Avery’s blood was found inside Ms. Halbach’s vehicle, and the documentary explains the defense theory that it could have been planted there by officers who had access to a vial of his blood. Sweat, however, never came up.
“How do you get Avery’s sweat underneath a hood latch of a vehicle?” Mr. Kratz said. “That is completely inconsistent with any kind of planting.”
Mr. Kratz also said a bullet with Ms. Halbach’s DNA on it found in Mr. Avery’s garage was matched to a rifle that hung over Mr. Avery’s bed. The gun was confiscated when officers searched his trailer on Nov. 5, 2005, and the bullet was found in the garage in March 2006, Mr. Kratz said.
Ah, we are putting our house on the market in a couple of months and I am dreading the whole dog, toddler and husband destruction that I will constantly have to pick up. The only saving grace for us is that homes in Austin sell in about three days!
Making a Murderer! It's too early to tell you my thoughts since you haven't watched more than 3 episodes, but just wait! You will die. It's insanely frustrating, aww-ing, and down right insane.
We use eMeals for our meal planning. It has been a life changer for me. I go to the store at lunch on Mondays, and I know I have all the stuff for 7 meals. It usually lasts us at least 10 days with going out or to friends and families houses. And, we're planning to start Making a Murderer this weekend. We've had several friends tell us about it, and we can't wait to see what all the hypes about. Everyone seems to be torn on whether he is guilty or not.
A great food blog with recipes that are 1. easy to make and 2. my family actually eats – "The Girl who ate Everything. Moms need all the help we can get when making supper for kids.
