Let me start out by saying this was one of the best vacations that we have ever taken.  At the same time, I wish we would have had a little more time to enjoy the magic.  Watching Taylor’s face light up seeing and meeting some of her favorite characters was the highlight of the trip for me.  We also stayed with best friends which made the trip even more fun and we’re already hoping to go back together again next year!
I’ve decided to go in order of our favorite parks and the things we loved the most!  This post would be entirely too long to include it all in one post and I want to make sure I share all the details (for the memories and also for anyone that may be traveling to Disney).

A few of you asked about my shorts.  Let me just say, they are super comfortable and a must-have summer staple.
The food was delicious, and we were lucky enough to snag a reservation at Yak and Yeti.  Even the kids gobbled up everything!
We met some of our favorite characters 🙂
Can we please talk about the excitement in this picture!

Taylor was obsessed with Doug the dog.  She could not get enough of him.  Poor Russell didn’t even get a smile from her.  Carson, on the other hand, thought he was pretty cool and funny looking in person.  And for the record, Carson still believes all the characters are real.  I love that he still believes in all the  magic.  I hope I get at least a few more years of this.
Our friends were smart and got us all fast passes for the good rides.  We were able to ride Everest two times with no wait at all.  I even managed to drag Todd on it once, and you guys, if only I would have  had a video camera 🙂  Needless to say, he didn’t make it on any big rides after that.
Everyone except Taylor and I rode the Dinosaur ride and they said it was awesome!  I was shocked Carson didn’t get scared, but Todd he said he did great.  Carson said the dinosaurs looked so real.
Dinoland was another kid favorite in our group.  So many fun things in this little park for all ages (and heights).  Taylor, Carson, and our buddy Liam loved this ride.
As far as entertainment goes, you must go see the Festival of the Loin King.  One of the coolest performances I have ever watched.
Animal Kingdom you did not disappoint.  I could have spent at least two more days at this park and I am pretty sure these four cuties could have too!

  2. LOVE Taylor's dress! Where did you get it from?

  3. I love that you're sharing the different parks in separate posts bc I would get so confused. I've only been to Disney World once (we live in CA and go to Disneyland yearly) and can't quite remember how it's all laid out.

Looks like y'all had a blast! What fun memories! I love Taylor's dress too. I swore I would never go in the summer again. Too hot, too many sweaty bodies pushed together, and extremely long lines! But it looks like your kids had a blast. Plus it was so nice you had someone to watch the kiddos at night so you guys could have "adult" time! Fun! You seemed to plan it nicely.

Totally random, but how did you learn to fashion blog? Did you sign up for rstyle or did they ask you because of your large following? Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, girl!!!

Can we please talk about how adorable Taylor looks in that Lilly dress and those pink shoes!

  6. Austin and I are going in September for our Anniversary. We got reservations at Yak and Yeti for lunch and are planning to see the lion king! So excited!

  7. We just got back from Disney too, and I've updated each park separate posts! Here's our AK take…

  8. So much fun for everyone! We didn't really enjoy Animal Kingdom on our trip – maybe because it was one of our last visits on our trip or because we are far too spoilt with real wildlife in South Africa x

  9. Girl you are speakin' my language! I live 15 minutes from Disney and go all the time- I even write a fashion/Disney hybrid blog (DressingForDisney.com). Can't wait to read your recap and hope you all had a magical time. You sure picked a hot time to visit- come back in February for a completely different experience (cool weather, low crowds). Cheers to the ears!
