ONE //
Oh y’all, this hair of mine!!! Okay, so I had A LOT of questions after yesterday’s Instastory videos. First, let me just say that I know bleaching my hair and straightening it all the time can cause damage, but I’ve been doing this since I was in the 9th grade and I am very careful and only straighten my hair once or twice a week and I’ve never had damage like this.
As long as you don’t overlap or over process the bleach then your hair shouldn’t break. And trust me, after the hair issues I had last year I made sure that didn’t happen. I don’t want to throw Monat under the bus, but I feel like I should be honest with you guys and share my experience.
I used their products for a little over a month and in the beginning I saw great results. I was sent many different products and I was told it was 100% safe to mix and match all the products, and that they actually worked wonderfully together! Well, around the four week mark I started noticing a ton of my hair breaking and falling out, not to mention, my hair looked and felt so dry.
I contacted my Monat rep and let her know what was happening to my hair. Long story short, she said that one of the product lines (the Intense Repair) was way too intense for my hair and that’s why it was falling out and breaking. They tried to get me to keep using the volume system and told me that it would bring my hair back to the great feeling it had before. Well, I know for a fact you can’t bring broken hair back so I decided to stop with all of their products. And after doing a little research (which I should have done before I ever used the stuff) I found this post and the comments are unreal. So many people had the same exact experience that I did, and they are now stuck with the same hair situation.
All of that to say,  I’m now doing everything I can to repair the damage and hopefully bring some of my hair back. I have done SO much research. I also asked my professional stylist and this is the plan we came up with.
Vitamins
I’ve actually been using both of these for close to two years now and I love them. That being said, I will continue to use these and add in a little more biotin with this liquid supplement.
 Olaplex and Deep Conditioning Masks
Olaplex No3 is another product that I’ve been using for a while now, but I’ll just be using it more often and leaving it on longer now.
Ouia is a new product line for me, but this mask came highly recommended. I’ve only used it twice now, but so far I am really liking it and I’m also using this deep conditioner as well.
Silk pillowcase + Hair Towel for fine delicate hair
This silk pillowcase has amazing reviews, the best price I could find, and it can also be washed in the washing machine!! And this is the microfiber hair towel that I ordered.
I will keep you guys updated with how my hair is doing and how the products are working.
TWO //
Carson has officially decided he is over his twin size beds 🙁  I knew he would eventually want a bigger bed, but I thought we had a few years left. I totally get that he wants more room at night, but I sure am going to miss those sweet twin beds in his room. I’ve been searching online for full size beds, and so far, these are the three top contenders.
THREE //
I finally organized all of my makeup this week. I ordered this Sorbus acrylic makeup organizer, and y’all, it’s freaking awesome! And this one for all four tiers is only $49!!
FOUR //
I’ve received so many dm messages about these shoes and how to style them, so here are four different looks you can pull off with these comfy slip-on sneakers

Sweater runs super big, so size down. For reference, I’m wearing the xs.
Split Back Pullover (on sale) // Leggings // Cap // Sneakers

FIVE //
And because it’s FRIDAY, I’m leaving this post with my favorites!!

  1. Girl, you need to try using Kevin Murphy shampoo and conditioner! I SWEAR by it…I have naturally curly hair but lost it's curl when I had our son and it was so dry and just blah. I use the KM restore line and it's literally changed my hair. It doesn't get dry, doesn't get oily and just balances it. Highly recommend! Every time I see someone start to try Monat I kind of cringe after your story.
