// Happy hump day!!!  I am so excited to share this super easy, yet also super yummy healthy recipe that I made for dinner last night!  It’s been a while since I’ve made a truly healthy meal around here that the entire family loved, so I knew this was something I had to share!  The kids ate their tacos in a soft shell instead of a lettuce leaf, because let’s be real, if it looks healthy Carson isn’t getting near it…ha!
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 lb 95% lean ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder (preferably 2 tsp regular chili powder and 1 tsp ancho chili powder)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • Iceberg or Romain lettuce leaves, doubled up, for serving
  • Shredded Mexican cheese, diced Roma tomatoes, diced red onion, diced avocado, chopped cilantro, light sour cream, for serving
  • Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute 2 minutes. Add turkey and garlic, season with salt and pepper, and cook, tossing and breaking up turkey occasionally, until cooked through, about 5 minutes. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, tomato sauce and chicken broth. Reduce to a simmer and cook about 5 minutes until sauce has reduced. Serve mixture over lettuce leaves with desired toppings.

//  I am also excited to tell you guys that I am back in the gym at full force!  I am picking up an extra day a week in the gym with my trainer, and together we are going show you guys some new workouts that we’ve been working on.  Until then, I wanted to share a workout that I’ve done for years, and it’s one that you can pretty much do anywhere.  The best part…it burns a TON of calories.  It’s not called the Fat Burner for nothing 🙂

Nonetheless, I realize that those aren't the most beneficial of food decisions so I have it around 2-3 times each month. I am not surrendering my preferred nourishments, I am simply eating it with some restraint so it doesn't make up for lost time to me as abundance weight. best fat loss 2020
