So how did I do it? How did I lose the weight? The weight I wish I could blame on my pregnancy but sadly I cant. No I gained a whopping 23lbs after having my baby. Who does that? Well silly me of course! That’s another story, and I am guessing that’s not why you are reading this post.

Update: Seems the question you all want to know that I forgot to mention is the time frame between the two pictures? It was 4 months. So it took me 4 months to get off the 23lbs.

Here is what I eat and how I train : this may change a little from day to day but this is my usual.
6:30- One slice of sourdough toast with 3 tbsp of natural peanut butter. Doesn’t sound like much but a) I am not all that hungry in the mornings. b) the peanut butter fills me up.
8:30- head to the gym (mon-wed-and fri) tuesday and thursday I go in a little later because I personal train on those days. If  I am not training I do 45-50 minutes of cardio. My favorite, and what I think burns the most fat are sprints. I love to sprint, and you burn a lot more calories a lot faster. My goal is just to burn 250-300 calories a day, no matter what kind of cardio I do. Now the days that I train I only do 20-30 minutes of cardio because I can bank on a kick ass 30 minute intense weight training session. Here is a little sample of something my trainer and I may do.
10:00- I have a snack. Usually an apple or string cheese. Sometimes I have a cutie (you know those little oranges)
Between 12:30 and 1:00- I have lunch. I usually have 4 slices of deli meat (the fresh kind from the deli) I prefer the boars head maple glazed turkey. Between 5 and 7 Everything pretzels and hummus. Or another tried and true favorite of mine is to make chicken wraps. Just toss grilled chicken in a small wrap and I add salsa and a little cheese. I have a side of bbq baked lays with that.  Or just a good ole protein shake if I am in a rush. They make these at my gym so I couldn’t tell you exactly what is in them? I always order the PB&J 😉
Dinner- 5:00 yes I know we eat early, but I am starving by this time, and so are the kids.
I always try to have a lean meat. Rotisserie chicken, grilled chicken, shrimp, or pork tenderloin. These are the usual’s. With the meat I always have a vegetable or two. Okra, squash, zucchini, brussel sprouts, and asparagus are the main ones I cook. I always roast them with just salt, pepper, and a little evoo. I usually have some kind of bean cooking also, it’s the one vegetable Carson will eat.
Late snack- this one gets me every time! For me it’s the part of the day I get hungry and crave things, bad things. But usually I stay strong, besides the one piece of chocolate I give myself. I believe you have to have at-least one piece a day…. for real. So I usually get an orange, grapefruit, or the 100 cal popcorn.
Now with all this said…….. I CHEAT a lot! I try for the most part to be really clean during the week and follow the above, but when Friday rolls around it’s on! I eat the mess out of pizza, Bojangles, taco bell, or whatever else my little heart desires. I feel like you have to, or at least I do. I feel like I deserve it too. I believe it’s all about balance. Come Monday I am right back at it.
Note: I only drink water with every meal and all throughout the day!! (now I do have wine three nights a week) and I never gave that up 😉 That’s just crazy talk.
Now for the final before (137 lbs) and after (115 lbs)
ps A really big Thank You to all my instagram friends for all the likes and comments yesterday. Each comment made me smile a big ole smile. I was feeling the love! xoxo
