Gracious, I’m not even sure where to begin with this one.  The last two weeks have felt like such a whirlwind, but I am happy to say that I am completely unpacked from all of our travels…I even finished all the laundry yesterday!
// This past Saturday, Todd and I attended a wedding in Spartanburg for one of his close friends.  It was such a beautiful ceremony, and it was so fun chatting up with old friends that we don’t get to see often.

And a big thank you to everyone who suggested the best places to eat in Spartanburg.  On Friday night, we had Willy Taco and it was AMAZING!  Everything was so fresh and their guacamole may have been the best I’ve ever had!
What I wore
Dress (under $50) // Sandals // Bracelet

// Todd and I ended up heading back home right after the ceremony Saturday because we had to get home to Rocky.  Doggie daycare was booked on Saturday, so we had to get back in time to give him his insulin.  I was a little bummed to miss the reception, but honestly, I was so tired and so ready to be home 🙂  Later that evening, we took full advantage of being kid free and decided to go see a movie.  Todd and I had both been wanting to see the Free State of Jones, and I am so glad we did, because it was so good.
// On Sunday, we kicked off the Fourth of July festivities by hanging out by the pool with a lot of great friends!

Todd and I both got our newborn fix snuggling with this bundle of love.

I swear there is nothing better than the smell (or the cuddles) of a newborn.  Oh, it makes me sad thinking of how long ago it was that Carson and Taylor were this size 🙁
For an appetizer I made this patriotic taco dip
The only thing I changed was that I used black beans instead of olives on the flag, and for the bottom layer, I made black bean hummus.  And all you do for this is put one can of black beans, a splash of olive oil, and touch of salt in a food processor and pulse until blended.  This dip was so easy and such a big hit!

// For the fourth we kept things low key. Our good friends, the Shealy’s, came over to grill out and help us shoot a few fireworks that Todd and Carson has picked out yesterday.
Feeling festive in my new Free People tunic dress.
And for dinner, I made this German potato salad, while Todd handled the burgers, hotdogs, and a few veggies on the grill.
