In our last house, the one bedroom that never felt complete was our master bedroom. At the end of the day, it’s supposed to be that one room that Todd and I both need to feel calm and relaxed in, but honestly, it just never really reached that point. So, as soon as we started building our new house, I told Todd, before we design and decorate any other room, our master was our first priority. I don’t think he was even listening, or cared at the time, but I know for a fact he enjoys it now (except the pink, but that was a war I knew I could win as long as I gave him a comfortable, clutter free space).
And if you guys have been reading here for long, then you know by now that Frontgate and Grandinroad are two of my favorite companies. Everything I’ve ever received from these companies has been top notch, and I’ve never been disappointed.
Working with Frontgate and Grandinroad on the project was a dream come true for me, and one that I still get giddy about every time I walk into our bedroom. And it’s not just the pretty things that you can see on the outside that make me giddy either. The sheets and these pillows are like heaven on earth, and I do not lie when I say to my sleep has never been so good.
And while we try and keep the kids out of this room, Rocky made sure that he didn’t get the boot. You see that white fluffy faux fur rug that is layered over our soft easy care rug? Well, it may look like a luxurious rug, but it’s actually a memory foam dog bed. And when Rocky isn’t following me around the house, you will find him here cozied up and snoozing away on it.
If you twisted my arm and made me pick a favorite piece, it would have to be the gorgeous large storage mirror. Pictures do not do this mirror justice, and the fact that not only is it beautiful, but it’s also functional is just icing on the cake.
I truly love every single thing about this room, and for once I finally feel that sense of calm and peace that I was looking for when I walk in.
