You guys my babies have really bad colds, so party pictures will have to wait………BOO!!! Cause y’all it was a good time, a real good time. In true Hewitt fashion it got a little rowdy, but that in my opinion just makes it a little more fun.
Okay back to my sweet babies and there terrible colds.
Carson is fine,a little stuffy but he is OK.
I used this bad boy in hos room and he was good to go.
also purchased on of these snotsuckers a few months back, and it is seriously amazing. If you have a baby you need one.
So on my list for Target today are the below three things, as I have heard they are great. But baby Tay was up all night, and could barley breathe to eat, so any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Germ free humidifier

So what do you guys do for your babies cold, and what products do I need to get today??
Thanks in advance
Love, one grumpy sleep deprived mom.

Hope those sweet babes recover asap! I am so bad in this area. I have no suggestions, only looking at yours! So, I've heard amazing thing about the snot thing. But, does it go in your mouth. I'm so grossed out by this. Also, tell me more about the vicks plug-in…

Love your blog! I know many moms who SWEAR by the vicks on feet trick. Rub vicks on bottom of kids feet at night and put socks on….helps them breathe and pulls out the yucky sickness! Try it.

My pediatrician used to recommend turning the shower on hot w/the door closed, letting it steam. Then sit in the bathroom w/the door closed w/the baby, and let that steam get in & break up all that mucus. I used to take the bouncy seat & toys and a mag for me and hang out–as long as you can stand it. I did this a few times a day, as long as we could stand it–I swear it helped!

I rub the baby vicks on the bottom of my little girl's feet and then put socks on her before bedtime. Also use the simply saline baby nasal mist to help with sinus irritation. Its much better than the drops that just drain down their throat. That, plus a humidifier and she should be feeling much better soon!

New reader here! Love your blog and your children are absolutely adorable. I'm in the same boat currently. My 8-month-old daughter has quite the bad bug (first time having a fever and not just a runny nose). Vaporizer, baby Vicks, and nasal aspirator are all great. Plus I second the steamy bathroom trick. Helps break up that congestion, especially the cough. And of course, lots of snuggles with mommy! My hubby's a doc and this is what he recommends to his patients. Prayers for healthy children and some rest for momma! – Tricia

  6. Aw, I'm so sorry to hear your babies are sick, but I love this post because it will help me when my little one gets his first cold. Heres to them feeling better quickly!

We always have a cool mist humidifier going in the dryer, fall/winter months. There is also some vicks type of hard dissolving tablet that you can put in the shower that helps baby breathe better. If they have a croup like cough during the night take them out in the cool night air or open freezer door, let them breathe the coolness, sounds silly I know but works great. We also put like 2 equal thick books under Analyn's crib so she is elevated when sleeping. Hope they get well soon!

  8. Boo to colds! My peanut has one as well, the snotsucker is amazing and disgusting at the same time, Ill have to try the california baby spritz!
