ONE: To wake up every morning with a grateful heart and be motivated for the day.
I have found myself lately sometimes waking up and feeling lazy and not very motivated. I don’t like feeling this way and at the end of the day I feel defeated. I plan on changing this starting today.
TWO: To get all my “stuff” done while the kids are in school/MMO. Run all my errands, answer emails, pay bills, grocery shop, go to the gym, and write my blog. I want to have all of this done so at the end of the day I get to focus all of my attention on my family….with no distractions.
THREE: I know you’ve heard me say this before, but get in the gym more! I will have no excuse now that I have my mornings free. I have a set training session at 9:30 three days a week starting today and I can’t wait! I simply feel better mentally and physically when I workout!
FOUR: Cook more healthy meals for my family. I think we all get into ruts when it comes to cooking or maybe it’s just me. I find myself making the same 5 or 6 things every week, A) because it’s easy and B) because I know the kids will eat it. But it gets so boring after a while so my plan is start slow and do one new healthy meal a week. Plus, I think I’ve made it pretty clear healthy eating is not my strong point. But, I really want to try harder The fast food may taste good, but it never makes me feel good.
FIVE:  Even though Todd and I have a date night once a week I want to make more time for us and building our relationship. In the evenings when we get the kids down I often find myself wanting to just veg out and watch TV. And even though I think this is great to do this some nights, I want to spend more time talking and spending time with Todd. I am loving the fact that we are reading the Magic together right now. Not going to lie though, most nights I try to back out of reading and convince him to watch TV, but I feel so much better when we read a chapter together than I do after a TV show.
SEVEN: Not to compare myself to everyone else. This is such a tough one. It’s so easy in the world we live in to get caught up in comparing ourselves. When I start to do this I always try and think of the quote below because it’s so true.
So have you made any goals this fall? If so, I would love to know what they are!

  3. I love this! Thank you for the motivation. I want to print these and put these around my desk space to serve as a reminder daily!

  4. Great goals! This is motivating me to create my own. There are too many things I need to focus more on. As for the cooking thing, I was like you… Got in a rut. Now I make it a point to make something new every Sunday. I love a good Sunday dinner. I also pick one other night to try something new or something I don't make often. Then I do 3 nights of easy and same ol'. Then of course, we eat out or get take out 2 nights. Good luck to you on these goals!

Love these goals! I think I can relate to almost every one of them right now. Something about the season changing that I feel like I need to regroup and set some goals of my own ..have a great week 🙂

Love these goals and I think everyone could add just about all those to our list. It's so important to have quality time with our spouses and I'm always trying to push myself to spend more time in the gym and cook healthier meals!!

  8. Such wonderful goals! Definitely ones I need to work on as well. I started last month of making the goal to go out of my way to do one nice thing a week (which sounds crazy easy) but with kids sometimes I forget to pay attention to others.

  9. Great goals! I know you can do it 🙂

  10. Tess says:

I feel you on a lot of these. I'm about half way through the magic and I'm finding it has literally started to change my thoughts. The best thing is the early morning journal – I don't get out of bed until I do it. It really helps keep me present, in a good mood, and grateful for the day ahead.

Good luck sweet mama, and keep us posted!

  11. Unknown says:

I agree with every single one! Except the cooking… I'll leave that to the husband 😛 I've actually been thinking about these things a lot lately. Here's to keeping our goals!!

  12. Unknown says:

Wow I agree with everything. I think as mothers we all tend to have the same feelings and it just takes something small to remind us of our priorities. Thanks for sharing this. I really enjoyed reading it. @FITNESSNLIFESTYLE
