Todd left work on Wednesday and isn’t returning until this morning! Daddy home for 4 days= one really happy mama and two really happy babies!
It was a much needed relaxing long weekend together. Much of it we spent with friends and neighbors, which is always such fun! But we also had a little “us” time too.
Let’s do a little recap shall we?
We started off the 4th right with some Krispy Kreme. The “hot now” sign was calling my name and so all my willpower flew out the window. It was well worth it, no doubt!
Look at that doughnut face? Pretty sure he enjoyed it too!
After that we headed to the dollar store to get decorations to jam up our rides for the parade.
The parade was so cute! Besides the fact that Carson ran over a kid, hit a couple trees, and ran off the curb, it was fabulous 🙂 I may have killed my entire Limearita in one block ha!
On Friday we headed to the pool for the day. Couldn’t have asked for better weather! Look at that happy face….girl loves her daddy!
(how funny is the motorcycle tattoo on Todd’s arm? Carson put it there and all weekend I had to do a double take, because it looked so real). Not going to lie, looks pretty hot, but different location and different print please 😉

On Friday evening we headed to our favorite spot for a little live music and dancing! We really have the best time with some of the best people!
This baby loves to dance, and she is serious about it too 🙂
On Saturday we decided to just have another pool day and stick around the house. Todd and I had a date night planned, and wanted to make sure the kid and baby got their nap in. Back to our date night though, it was amazing. No really it was! The food, wine, and atmosphere were all perfect! If you are local and haven’t been do yourself a favor and go to Trattoria Lucca asap!
Is your mouth watering yet?
Hold the phone!!! Yep those babies in the middle are homemade twix bars!
O yeah and in case you are wondering why I am not rocking a maxi dress, let me tell you! J.Crew Factory is having a major good sale, on some major good stuff! I am officially obsessed with my two new skirts!
Skirt One
I also think the orange version of this skirt would look amazing with this top in navy.

Skirt Two
There are not many sizes in this blouse left, so I think this blouse would be a great alternative.
It was one happy long weekend indeed. We ended Sunday by all taking a family nap, a trip to the grocery store, and a family selfie! I sure hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!!!

  1. Ok did you only get 4 doughnuts at Krispy Kreme?? You have to get a dozen its like a rule when the hot and now sign is on. Love your skirts- had fun shopping! Hope Todd liked them for date night and that twix looks amazeballs.

So adorable! I'm obsessed with krispy kreme donuts. YUM!!! And that picture of your kids on the back of the truck with their toy car in the background might be my most favorite picture ever!

  3. That is too funny, I posted a Krispy Kreme photo on Instagram the other night!! Whenever dinner doesn't turn out good.. there is ALWAYS Krispy Kreme. I love both of you outfits, both skirts are great!!

  4. Your neighborhood is the cutest! A kids parade in their cars…priceless. Love your new outfits! Skinny minnie!

  5. How weird am I…I have never had a Krispy Kreme. I fear if I had one I would not be able to stop;)

  6. I'm already ready for lunch after seeing those doughnuts and that pasta dish. Good gracious. Looks like an amazing weekend!

  7. Cara says:

Oh my heavens, whatever you do don't tell your husband the tattoo looks hot. I did that and it turned into a page from the "If you give a mouse a cookie book" situation. For example: I told him a tattoo would look good, but then after he got one he decided he needed another tattoo to go with it. Then I was being nice and told him that one looked good too, but my plan backfired and he proceeded to go out and get 2 full arm sleeves worth. After that he realized he needed a hobby and decided that would be a jeep to go off roading in. But then, there wasn't enough time to go off roading in the jeep, so he decided to buy a motorcycle since it was more of a quick thing to jump on, and run into town on. To you know, go get another tattoo with. Lordy, don't tell him a tattoo looks hot.

    CUTE. Skirts!
Are you a size ZERO!?! Holy momma! Is this restaurant downtown? I need to check it out!

Really loving that Lilly top! I don't know how I haven't been to Krispy Kreme in forever, especially since I drive by it so often.
