Okay ladies, I’m FINALLY getting around to sharing our vacation with you guys. When I say that Todd and I REALLY enjoyed this vacation, I truly mean it! Todd and I both agreed that Mayakoba in Mexico is by far the most gorgeous place that either of us have ever visited. To top things off, the food was amazing. We both loved Jamaica when we went a few years ago but it can’t even compare to this place. We stayed at the Fairmont-Mayakoba and I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Before you read any further I also feel like I should mention that this trip was not in any way sponsored.
Pretty much all we did was EAT, drink, and lounge…ha! It was bliss I tell you, pure bliss!
The plane ride was a breeze. And even though we had to take a connecting flight, the total airtime was just under three hours. That being said, we were in Mexico and at the resort by 11am on Saturday!

As soon as we pulled up to the resort I was starving, so naturally, we went straight to lunch. And you guys, you have never had guacamole until you have tasted this. It had bacon, serrano chilis, and cotija cheese added in with the avocado.

Every piece if the property on the resort was so gorgeous. The most beautiful trees, plants, and flowers I have ever seen.

This was Saturday evening walking to dinner.

The first night we had dinner at El Puerto, which ended up being our favorite restaurant. This restaurant served Latin-Asian inspired dishes and everything we had here was absolutely delicious.

The Thai chicken empanadas and edamame were the perfect starters.
Along with the specialty cocktail of the night! Every night each restaurant offers a speciality cocktail and ever single one that we tried was awesome!

Morning Nespresso on our balcony, which we enjoyed almost every morning.

On Sunday morning we hit the spa bright and early for a couples massage. If any of you end up coming here make sure you book a massage at the the spa! It was pure heaven, and also the most stunning spa I have ever seen. Todd and I left our phones in our lockers so we weren’t able to snap any pictures of the inside, but trust me when I tell you…it was breathtaking.
After our massage we decided to head to the the pools. There are five separate pools on the resort. The one below and the adult only pool were our favorites.

For lunch that day we popped in the El Lobby Lounge and enjoyed another delicious cocktail…

We also enjoyed the most incredible shrimp tacos I’ve ever eaten.

Early on Monday morning the pool was empty so we decided to take advantage and enjoy the sun and a little reading.

By lunchtime we were itching to go see the beach so we quickly changed and headed that way for lunch and some more relaxation.
The most stunning aqua blue water I’ve ever seen!!!

Lunch at Brisas on the beach did not disappoint either.

This crazy storm looked like it was about to hit, but ended up going right around us. It was pretty crazy to watch because you could see the rain just pouring down less than a mile from of us.
On Monday night we enjoyed another delightful dinner at Brisas.

Heading out to breakfast on Tuesday morning.

And then enjoying the rest of the morning and most of the day on the beach.
We hit up the adult only pool for a few hours before we had to go shower for our last dinner.
And let me just add that wearing the most fitted outfit you have on your last day was probably not the best decision. As you can see from the previous pictures we did A TON of eating and I’m pretty sure at this point I was up at least five pounds…ha! But I will say, this two piece outfit is really stretchy and thank goodness you can pull up the skirt high enough to show no skin!!

We loved our dinner at El Puerto so much that we chose to eat their again for our last meal.
Last morning enjoying a nespresso from our pretty deck.
And one last yummy breakfast.
Good bye Mayakoba…until next time!
