I sure hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!! We had another busy weekend with lots of traveling, but it was still really fun!
// On Friday, Todd headed down to the lake for a guys weekend. Since we had a wedding on Saturday, my parents met him at the lake Friday to get the kids. The idea of having the house all to myself always sounds nice, but I always get bored quickly, so my girl Natalie and I decided to head downtown for a nice girls dinner.
Dinner at the Warehouse was delicious, and my favorite was the fried cauliflower.

// On Saturday, I did a few things around the house, and then headed to the lake to pick up Todd so we could get on the road and make his cousin’s wedding, which was in Murrells Inlet. The wedding was beautiful, and we had such a great time.

I have to tell you guys, on the ride down I told Todd I only had two more chapters in a book I was reading, and that I was dying to finish it. I know he gets board driving while I’m reading, so I decided to read it out loud. Umm, big mistake. I cried alligator tears about 20 different times on the way there, and then it hit me that I had left my makeup back at the house. Thank goodness we had time to stop by CVS so I could grab a few things to fix myself up before the wedding. So, point of this story, read this book, but don’t plan on reading it if you have somewhere to be…ha!
// On Sunday, we drove to my parents to pick up the kiddos, but they were having so much fun with their cousins that they didn’t want to leave. So we let them hang out and swim a few more hours while Todd and I visited with my parents.
Oh yeah, on the way home I started another book…and I read it out loud once again. I’ve got to admit, it was kinda nice reading to each other last night after the kids went down instead of turning on the tv like we usually tend to do 🙂 If Todd doesn’t kill me and the book is really good, I’ll make sure that I share it with you guys when we’re finished 🙂

I love that you read out loud to your hubby. I bought a book of famous love poems a while back, and I love when my hubs and I read them to each other in bed. 🙂
