This is how we have spent our weekend! And if I being completely honest it sucked!!! It still does, but today was better than yesterday! Here’s to  hoping each day continues to get better! Note  this is the hardest thing I have experienced in motherhood. There is nothing more heart breaking than watching your child get discouraged and feeling like he cant do it!  On a brighter note he has his Valentines party tomorrow at school, and we have made some pretty cute Valentines to hand out to his friends! I will share those tomorrow, because tonight I have to wash pee-pee underwear!

  1. I know how you feel! It took me forever to get my son potty trained. He finally got interested when Grandma came to visit and would give him a new Hot Wheel each time he'd go. My friend got her son going with little goodies from Party City! Good luck to you!!!

My son is 2.5 and I am 6+ months pregnant with #2…I wanted to get him trained BEFORE the baby arrives-I know how you feel! I have been trying to get him interested, with no luck. He is actually scared of the potty, so I know he is not ready yet! GL and keep us posted!

DREADING this. Like seriously dreading. Please blog any advice or wisdom you walk away with. I've heard it's helpful to pull up all your rugs and have a nakey weekend 🙂

  6. I've just started potty training my daughter too and it's rough. Elmo's potty book and Potty by Leslie Patricelli seem to be helping her get the concept and want to sit on the potty. Thinking of trying the roll up the rug method as well! Good luck!

Ugh, I agree it is the hardest thing! My gfriend w older kids said, don't worry she will not go to kindergarten in diapers. Good reminder when you're frustrated.

You are right – such a hard time for Moms (and Dads)! Noah was SO hard to potty train and he was the last of his friends to get it, and I hated hearing all the advice from everyone because nothing seemed to work for us. But he did do it eventually and Carson will too! And hey, at least you are washing the pee-pee underwear. I got so frustrated I just started tossing them and buying new packages!

Let me know how it goes. This is on my horizon! Any tips you gather are SO appreciated xoxo
