Hello and Happy New Year, friends!! It feels so strange being back after taking such a long break, but I am so excited to be back and also ready to tackle the New Year head on. As I mentioned yesterday, it has been a rough few years for my family and this past year was probably the hardest of them all. That being said, my goal going into this year is to get myself mentally and physically healthy.
After changing medications about eight months ago and not hardly doing any physical activity, I put on a whopping 30 pounds and the medication wasn’t even the best choice for me mentally. But hey, we live and learn. The only thing I can do now is hope this new medication will help me mentally, and hopefully I can stay motivated and do everything I can to get myself together physically.
Thankfully, I am no stranger to putting on weight and getting it off. I have done this after every single baby, and it’s not until I really decide mentally that I am ready to get it off that I’m able to do get it off and keep it off. As of now, I am finally truly READY!!!
Now, let me be completely honest with you, I am totally winging this and doing what has worked for me in the past. For me, what worked was eating clean with lower carbs during the week while allowing myself to cheat on the weekends.
You guys said you preferred a bi-monthly update so I plan on sharing what I’m eating, what exercises I am doing, and my measurements every two weeks. And so you know, I am so excited about all of you that have messaged me to saying you’re doing it with me!!! We’ve got this and I can’t wait to see all of our results!!

What I’ve been eating…
Breakfast – With the two breakfast bowls, I only ate half and I was full. I’ve also been eating two slices of bacon and two eggs as well. And a lot of times if I am not all that hungry, I will just have a better greens drink. The better greens taste so good, they hold me over until lunch, and they also give me energy. Lunch – With the cheese wraps, I usually put three to four pieces of deli meat in them. I also eat two of the black bean patties.
Dinner – I’ll make sure to do a better job of taking pictures of dinner. We have been eating a lot of grilled chicken, steak, and grilled veggies. But I just ordered this cookbook and I am planning on cooking lots of new dinner recipes from it. And though the picture below doesn’t look that great, these air fryer zucchini and squash were delicious!
