Happy Monday love bugs! I sure hope you all had a wonderful weekend! My parents came to town early Saturday morning and spent the rest of the weekend with us. It was Park Day on Daniel Island Saturday so we were able to show them the house progress, and also enjoy all the fun activities on the island. We had such a great time visiting with them, and I’ll be sure to share more pictures later this week.
On Sunday, we had plans to finally have some family pictures taken, but this crazy weather was clearly not on our side. It was cold and raining with no sunshine, so we rescheduled for later this week. I shared the two dresses I was debating between, and you guys were so awesome sharing your thoughts and opinions. So, thank y’all for that! I was somewhat surprised on how close it was between the two, but in the end, I decided on the burgundy dress, or as they call it the “purple potion” color. It coordinated so much better with the rest of my family’s outfits, and I felt like I could move a little more freely in it 🙂 But, I did really loved the green one, so I think I may end up keeping it for upcoming holiday celebrations!
And here’s a close up of both dresses, along with size and fit details.
This dress is so flattering and surprisingly super comfortable. It is fully lined and the lace is lightweight, making it easy to move and even twirl if you wish 😉 I think this dress runs tts with wiggle room in the mid section, and for reference, I am wearing the 0P.
Lace Dress // Earrings // Gold Pumps (run tts and I am wearing my normal 6.5)
This is another super flattering, beautifully cut dress as well. It has a little more flare than the one above, and it’s also a little more fitted in the arms and chest area. If you have smaller arms I would go with your normal size, but if things normally fit a bit snug in the arms, then I would go up one size. For sizing reference, I’m wearing the 2P, and I went up a size because of the snug arms. This mama definitely does not have small arms…ha!

And since I had a few requests (and I know many of you have lots of upcoming holiday parties), I thought I would share a few more of my favorite dresses.
You guys may remember this one and this one from last year. They are still two of my favorite little black dresses and I’ve gotten so much wear out of both.

This dress is even more gorgeous in person, and it is super super flattering.  As far as fit, I do agree with the reviews and I would go up one size. If you are 5’4 or shorter, go with the petite.  I am wearing the 2p and the length hits me right at the knee.
