What we ate.
Two weeks ago Todd and I made it out to Zero Cafe + Bar for happy hour.  We enjoyed a few cocktails and appetizers.  I had heard rave reviews about this place, but had been a little hesitant to try it out after viewing their menu.  It just seemed (in my words) a little funky, but everyone I talked to swore it was amazing!  Plus, it was recognized as the top 5 foodie hotel in the world, so I knew my friends must have been telling the truth 🙂
Well, I am certainly happy that I listened because it was just that…it was AMAZING!!  And the drinks……don’t even get me started on how delicious these were!  The spicy margarita will knock your socks off in the best way possible 😉
The one thing I was scared of the most ended up being my favorite thing on the menu…the scallop tartare.  You probably know by now that I love scallops, but I always eat them cooked!  Well, I am forever changed in the way I see the word tartare now.  It was incredible!  If this is on the menu if and when you guys go, make sure you try it!!
SCALLOP TARTARE – Cilantro, Coconut, Crispy Potato, Nasturtium

Todd’s favorite were the deviled eggs.  These were probably the most exquisite deviled eggs I have seen.  But don’t let the fancy fool you, they were very tasty!
“DEVILED EGGS” – Poached Black Truffle, Pickled Mustard, Bacon and Eggs, Caviar

And last, but not least, we had the eggplant crostini.  Again, I know the flavors sound like a strange mix, but they are heavenly together!
AMBROSE FARMS EGGPLANT CROSTINI-  Golden Raisin, Lemon Preserve, Piment d’Espelette
After we nibbled, Todd ordered the Mezcalero, and after I took a sip, I was wishing we were staying at the Zero George Hotel for the night because if we were I would have ordered at least two more of those…haha!
MEZCALERO – Montelobos Mezcal, Agaveles Tequila, Ancho Reyes, Orange Liqueur, Thyme, Fresh Squeezed Lemon and Lime
What I wore.

I’ve had this dress for two years now, and it’s still one of my favorites! I love to pair it with pumps in the early start of fall, and then tall boots in the winter!

Dress(20% off with code CAYCEE20) // Bracelets // Clutch Similar //
Pumps // Earrings (similar) // Belt old but similar style here

These Julie Vos bracelets are even more gorgeous in person!  They are perfect for mixing and matching, and they can be worn dressy or casual.  Plus, they are 24K gold plate, so they will never turn on you!
