We celebrated Taylor’s 6th birthday at The Ice Palace this past Saturday. Taylor has become quite obsessed with ice skating, and I must say, she’s pretty good. And after this weekend she has been begging Todd and I non-stop to sign her up for lessons.
I kept things quite simple as far as decorations go, but I did order her these super cute iceskating cups and plates along with these personalized party favor bags. And for those of you asking about her balloons on Instagram, I ordered them here
Her cake was just as yummy as it was pretty. And for any Charleston locals interested, My Organic Bakery is who made this cake and she was wonderful to work with!

Cautious Carson playing it safe with the ice walker 😉

// Todd and I had a date night last Thursday and we went downtown. I received so many questions about my dress (which is on sale) and his shorts (also on sale) , so I wanted to share the details here.
Dress runs pretty tts (a little snug in the hips and rear), and I’m wearing a size 2.
// I finished this book yesterday, and although it was pretty good, I didn’t love the way it ended. I also received a lot of dm messages about my cover-up. I purchased it in Mexico last year, but I did find a few similar options here.
// This is the best any hibiscus plant I’ve owned has ever looked. A few of you wanted to know what I do to keep in looking so good, and honestly, all I use is this once a week and I water it just about every other day.
// Last,Todd and I attended a wedding for one of his best friends Sunday afternoon and we had the best time. It was a really small, intimate wedding, and the reception afterwards was beautiful. It was held on the water at the Cooper River Room at Memorial Mt. Pleasant State Park.

That cake is amazing, I don’t know if this is rude to ask, but what do you pay for a cake like that? I’m from New York (suburbs) and I went to my local bakery for a cake for a baby shower that wasn’t as nice as that, and he quoted me $200!! Maybe I’m out of touch with reality, but that seems insane.
