One of the main questions I am asked on Instagram and my blog are, “How does that fit??” I mean, there’s really nothing worse than ordering a gorgeous dress in your “normal size” and when it arrives it doesn’t fit. And believe me, I’ve had it happen both ways…….where I’ve looked like a busted biscuit can or where I looked like I could fit a few more people into a dress…haha!!
So, with the Shopbop sale currently going on, I thought I would share some of the things I own and how they fit. This is a great time to grab some of the pricier pieces you have been lusting over and save big!!!
This is the cutest dress ever and all sizes are almost all GONE!!! This dress fits on the larger side, it’s not near as short as it appears on the model! I would go down one size from what you normally wear! This dress is also available here too!
Swimsuit // Cover-up // Sunglasses
Swimsuit– This may be one of the most flattering one-piece suits that I own. In the description it says to size up as swimsuits run small, but the smallest they have is a 4. So, if you are anywhere between a 0-4 in normal clothes, go with the 4. It’s really stretchy and roomy in the bust, so I say if anything, size down!
Cover-up – Who doesn’t love a cover-up with tassels and beads!?!? But this pretty little dress runs large, so make sure you size down!!! I am wearing the xs below and have plenty of room! They also make this cover in a different color here, here, and my favorite here!!!
Sunglasses– These are perfect for my small face friends! I have the tiniest peanut face, so regular Ray Bans look so silly on me!
This dress is much darker in person than it appears in the photos, which I like because you don’t have to worry about it being see through. Also, from the picture you can’t really tell, but this dress is super lightweight and is super super soft! As far as sizing goes, I am 5’2 and wearing the xs and I love where this dress hits above my knee. So I would say this one is tts, but just has more of a loose fit. It can also be adjusted in the waist with the belt!
Mara Hoffman One Piece // Ella Moss- Top // Bottom – Both of these swimsuits run tts. I don’t have a very large chest, so I went with the xs in the one piece and a small in both the top and bottoms for the bikini!
Off the shoulder top– This top definitely runs on the big side, so if in doubt, size down. I am wearing the xs.
Cropped Skinny Jeans – Obsessed with these jeans!!! Being short, it’s so hard to find a pair of skinny jeans that fit right at the ankle, but these are perfect!! They do run about one size smaller like stated in the description. For reference, I am wearing a 26.
I love almost everything by Cupcakes and Cashmere, and her price point is awesome as well! But I have found most of her clothing runs small, so I would recommend going up one size. For reference, I am wearing the small.
Love every single detail about this dress, plus, the quality for the price can’t be beat! I would say this dress runs pretty tts, but I wanted this one to fit a little bit looser so I sized up to a small. Depending on your preference, either go with your normal size or go up one for a looser fit!
